An Exhibit Celebrating the History and Transformation of the Cuyahoga River
The Community Life Collaborative invites you to the Garden View Gallery Opening Reception for Crooked River Contrasts. This exhibit brings together historical images leading up to the 1969 fire and contemporary photographs depicting the positive results the clean-up and conservation strategies that event inspired. Join us in the Garden View Gallery to view these photos and learn the fascinating story they tell.
Exhibit Co-Curator Joseph Valencic, international speaker and curator for museum exhibits, will share his deep knowledge of immigration and diversity and the role the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie have continued to play in drawing people from all over the world to power Ohio’s industry and economy.
