Doors To My Barrio Art Reception
Join us on Wednesday, July 15, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at the Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH 44023, for the Doors To My Barrio Community Art Reception. Hosted by the Community Life Collaborative in partnership with the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, this special evening invites you to experience art, connect with community, and celebrate the rich cultures and traditions of Northeast Ohio’s Latino community. Several artists will be in attendance to share the inspiration behind their work and the stories reflected in each piece. Meet members of the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, participate in a collaborative community art activity, enjoy light refreshments, and connect with others through an evening of art and conversation. Doors To My Barrio features twenty doors transformed into vibrant works of art by twenty Cleveland Latino artists, with each door representing the culture and heritage of a different Spanish-speaking country. Together, these pieces tell stories of identity, history, and belonging while celebrating the diversity that strengthens our communities. We invite you to join us for an evening of conversation, creativity, and cultural celebration.
