Envisioning Hope and Peace: Personal, Community and Country

Join the upcoming event hosted by the Social Justice Advocacy Ministry entitled Envisioning Hope and Peace: Personal, Community and Country.

In this time of uncertainty, perhaps you would like to envision hope & ground yourself in peace. You are invited to join us on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at The Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls. See full schedule and the flyer here. This event is FREE and open to everyone. Drop in anytime between 4 pm-8 pm.

Come experience grounding, calming, meditative practices throughout the evening as your schedule permits. At various times you can participate in:

Yoga, Guided Meditation, Contemplative Prayer, Reiki
and walk the indoor Labyrinth.

Please pre-register for a Reiki appointment. All other sessions are on a drop-in basis.

• To sign up to receive Reiki Healing, click here.
• For the Reiki sessions, please bring a blanket, pillow, an eye pillow (optional) and any other comforts you may want.
• For the yoga and yoga nidra sessions, bring your own yoga mat and other props you want. (no experience needed)
• For the meditation sessions, bring your mat if you want to lie down, or if you want to sit in a chair no mat needed.
• Walk the labyrinth at your own pace. Wear socks. (no experience needed)

Presented by The Social Justice Advocacy Ministry Team of the Federated Church in conjunction with the Community Life Collaborative and the Heart Center.

Volunteers Needed

We need volunteers to be greeters, hosts, and bring refreshments. We also need volunteers to facilitate a meditation session, host readings/poems/songs sessions, lead yoga sessions (chair, nidra, gentle flow – certified yoga trained), and offer Reiki Healing (Reiki practitioner).
