Graham Ball, from the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) will be leading a panel of local humanitarian workers to discuss the experiences of refugees and migrants in Northeast Ohio. The panel will include Anne Hill from Americans Making Immigrants Safe (AMIS) and Lynn Tramonte from Ohio Immigrant Alliance (OIA). They will present what they do, who they serve, and how you can get involved on December 7 2023, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge.
USCRI Cleveland provides wrap-around services to refugees from their airport arrival until they have achieved self-sufficiency. AMIS works primarily with asylum seekers, securing them housing and meeting emergency needs. OIA supports migrants in ICE detention, doing a lot of work with Mauritanian asylum seekers. All three organizations advocate for the dignity and human rights of refugees and migrants.
Come learn how you can help make a difference in the lives of these families.
The CLC hosts subject specific events throughout the year that align with our respective Community Programs. Our non-profit will also have immersive ways to connect through public events and fundraisers periodically.
