Oak-y Dokie 5K and Fall Sensory Festival

Celebrate inclusion and acceptance with the Community Life Collaborative. Our annual Oak-y Dokie 5K and Able Acorn Walk highlights the special needs community and individuals with different abilities. Proceeds will support education for neuro-diverse individuals and their families. All skill levels are welcome!

The fun begins with the 5K cross country run at 10:00 a.m. (sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m.) and the 1-mile fun run/walk (for children ages 4 and up, and adults!). Register early to guarantee a FREE race shirt.

5K Course Details
The 5K will be run on a natural wooded path with some narrow trails and hills that weave throughout the property. Jogging strollers are not recommended.

1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk Details
The Family Fun Run will be run on a mostly flat grass/pavement loop around the property. Participants complete the loop three times. Jogging strollers are permitted.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Are strollers permitted?
Jogging strollers are permitted for the Family Fun Run as the path is fairly flat. The 5K will be run on a natural wooded path with some narrow trails and hills. Because accessibility will be limited, jogging strollers are not recommended for the 5K.

Are adults allowed to sign-up for the Fun Run?
Yes! Adults are welcome to participate in the Fun Run by themselves or—even better—with their children! All participants must be registered.

Will there be prizes?
The top three overall men and women 5K finishers will receive medals.

Will food be available at the race?
Granola bars, bananas and bottles of water will be offered to all 5K finishers. All 5K runners are encouraged to grab a bite to eat after their race and cheer on our Fun Run participants!

What other activities are available?

Join us after the conclusion of the race for our Leaf Party, a fun, fall inclusion festival for kids and families of all abilities. We’ll have activities that stimulate the senses and allow for interaction with the natural world.

Pricing

• $30 – 5k race (chip-timed)
• $20 – walk (not chip-timed)
• Kids under 10 free with adult registration (walk)
